The boyfriend has been off to embark his SEA-GAMES(soccer) journey, clearly im missing him. I've been occupying myself with Family Time. I made it clear to all my close friends how crucial spending time with my family has been during this rough period. We are all still recovering from the shock, it's still beyond believable you know? But life has to go on, with that, i try to find any possible distraction.

We spent my dad's birthday recently, it was heartfelt, reality sinked in knowing how different celebrations were without one very dear member of the family.

Made reservations at Tepak Sirih for a surprise celebration which my dad was completely clueless about. He actually felt dismayed the day before thinking no one bother's of his special day, and mother almost gave away the surprise, only to stop before it was too late. My aunts,cousins,niece & nephews were there along with my bestfriend to join our family for the occassion. My dad loves padang cuisines, i loved the ambience at Tepak Sirih, it is definitely appropriate and recommended for family dinners, and is very affordable($20/person) Food(rice/noodles/selection of gravy) was reasonably good given the cost, and the kuih's were just as nice. My favorite was the beef rendang, the meat was tender and soft and the spices weren't overwhelming or disatisfactory. The only flaw would be that they were short-handed in staff on the day that we were there, which made ordering drinks(because they only offer cold water/tea for the buffet) very tedious, what ticked us off a little more was that alot of drink selections weren't even available. Will i return there? Not anytime soon, however i would gladly accompany anyone who wishes to head over there.

So this year i went as Princess Jasmine, i had my aladdin for company, only problem was he wasnt up for dressing up this year which was totally fine. I've always loved themed occassions only because i could get my creative juices flowing. The costume was completely DIY(headgear, top), and the pants were a quick find at the nearby mall matched with lilac strappy (crissed-cross)heels from river island.

I am a big fan of sharp and simple looks, the inspiration for the look was old hollywood, decided to go with my hair up because it was simple.

To get the hairdo- Tie up hair in a ponytail. Pin up the back into half, and hide excess hair into the bun itself to create a "fan like" bun.

Tonight was one of those perfect nights, made for staying in and simply relaxing. But somehow it did not feel close to comfort at all, i tried holding back my tears, its just that every single time i think of him my heart wrenches and i end up bursting into tears. How do you let go of the one that you love? Never. I don't wish to forget you, your memory lives in me, but i miss you, i want your existence and i want your presence, i want you right before me Abang Aidil. I used to get upset whenever i hear of someone else's misfortune of losing a loved one, but having it happen to me, was beyond imaginable. Truth is im still wishing this is all a really really long awful dream which i have not snapped out of. I try so hard to keep myself occupied, it's impossible to not to think of you, when im in the train, when im with my friends. I feel like im going insane, and the sadness is overwhelming when the night falls, and im all by myself in bed, cos thats when i think of you the most. Wished you could come back to me. But i know its impossible.

Life is really unpredictable, as we know it,one moment someone's in the pink of health, next, gone.

When i was younger, i always find myself in silly squabbles with my mother and holding it against her for it. Growing up i find myself laughing it off after similar situations, we'd eventually make up for it as quickly as possible with a warm hug, or simply by giving off a familiar stare which speaks "do you really still want to be angry over the incident?" and we'll start chatting and explaining how we each felt and why we reacted the way we did.

What makes a good parent? Some people think it's about being a best friend towards their children? Maybe? but a line must be drawn. My religion has taught me the importance of a parent, and how it is of the highest status, and with that comes my undying love and respect for them. The idea of possibly losing them is beyond my deepest fear.

You know, their presence has always been able to calm me, it's the great familiarity of my mother's footsteps coming towards my room

the smell of delicious home cooked food, knowing she has put in alot of effort to making sure she rotates our favourite dishes

the squeaky cleanliness of the house

her gentle touch

how she willing to brush my hair and feed me when im sick

and that both parents would go through any extend to keep me away from harm even if it means putting up a fight for me

and how i can easily fall asleep whenever i lay my head on her lap/shoulder

or how i get so happy whenever i hear my dad come home, being able to recognize the sound of his set of keys and leaping of of bed in joy towards him and give a peck

how he looks at me in the most adoring manner and afterwards smile when i catch him and tell me to not grow up too quickly or that i look like my mother and pay me a compliment.

giving me a neck massage with his strong arms and those very arms make sure that i never have to lift a single thing when we're out

being sandwiched in between my parents in their bed and watching tv with them and hearing their comments

These are all the things that i could not live without, their touch, the scent, and everything about them that i completely love and admire. I pray to god that my love ones will always be kept safe. Every waking moment with the people i love being around shall not be taken for granted.

But if i don't wake up to another day, i want the people that i love to know that my devotion has been nothing but sincerity, that they have been the biggest part of making me grow as an individual, that i've always believed in them and that they've made my years worthwhile,i want them to know that i've tried my best to be there for them and apologize for the times i've not, i want my parents to know that they are the best parents a child could ever ask for. I want the love of my life to know that he has made me the happiest person on earth,that he has made me whole and the woman that i am today, and that he has above all guided me into learning how to love myself. I want my circle of few true friends to know that i am thankful for having them as my companions and that it has been a great honor to have them and that so few could be as lucky as i am to find true friends instead of just acquaintances. I want each and everyone who has been a part of my life to know that they have made an impact and played a great role in it. I want everyone to know that i have lived life with a good mixture of being safe, yet reckless, i've chased my dreams,though not far enough, i know the sky is the limit and i've never been a quitter. I've battled my insecurities, i've overcome obstacles, i've been adventurous, theatrical, overly dramatic, insane, silly, goofy and yet i have also been subtle, and found tranquility, and i thank god for the blessed life i have been given.

By now you guys should know that i adore my girls to the fullest, and would do just about anything for them. A week ago we(the lover and I) celebrated my gf Meutia's birthday organized by her man, it was over at NSRCC, it was my first time there and i have to say the place is definitely brilliant, the bangalow was well furnished and the facilities were satisfying(bowling,karaoke,arcade,swimming pool,lounge,minimart etc) though we did not manage to use it all,it was even complete with housekeeping. The only con would be the inconvenience getting there.

We spent a good 3d2n's there, 1st night being with her family & friends and the 2nd was just us. The earlier part of the 2nd day was a bummer, due to unforeseen circumstances, but i have to add, who would even ruin someones celebration out of spite/jealousy/ or whatever the reason might be?just saying.

But the day got better when it was just the 4 of us, we hung out and had another bbq and just had a good time with each other's company.

In all i had a great time with my love ones. Here's wishing my darling Tia a happy 20th once again.

UNIVERSAL STUDIO

The universal studio experience was definitely not an enchanting one as i've pictured days earlier before the trip. I was definitely excited to go, and upon entrance the place is indeed great, great sets, detailed map, alot of halal food outlets, although expectedly overpriced.

My personal favourite attraction was Ancient Egypt, everything looked amazing and the vibe was great and of course the mummy ride!

And of course the Shrek 4d Adventure, it was a great way to unwind after the 2 thrilling rides at Sci-Fi Battlestar Galactica-Human & Cylon.

You see im asthmatic, so getting on the ride was definitely discouraged and worrying for the people around me, but i can't walk away from a challenge even if it scares the crap out of me.I remember my first rollercoaster ride experience, back when i was probably 7, it was my brother who brought me, and i remember screaming my lungs out and tugging on the rail, and making him cover my eyes for me. I really appreciate the things my brothers do for me just to take my fear away. And now at 19, my bf is kindly doing the same for me.

I went on 1st- Human, did not do any thinking and just got on, and boy was i horrified, i screamed and grabbed hold of the bf's arms, and stopped altogether thinking what did i get myself into and focused on breathing instead. When it was over, my legs got all jello on me and i hesitated going on the cylon. In fact, i cried a little, HAHAH! I chatted with the person beside me telling her how "i nearly died on the human galactica" obviously being over dramatic. But the cylon was plain fun! The turns the thrill! The good kind, and i felt relieved that it wasn't bad at all. But Sci-Fi was disappointing, a waste of space, i was expecting laser shows and so much more! We watched a musical called -Monster Rock&Roll, if you are a theatre junkie, you would definitely find it dissatisfactory, mainly because, the mics were not working properly, does not do justice to the performers voices, and choreography was well a tad "blah" i mean USS is supposed to be a main attraction, at least provide a top notch musical to represent the place. Everything else is of quality, why miss out this one?

The lost world was another favourite, mainly because it was the first english movie my parents brought me to, and i have a great fascination for dinosaurs and fossils. We got on the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, a river raft ride, and got drenched to the skin, we sat on the 'suay' seats. I mean seriously lah! The people opposite barely even had water on them. My mood was dampened. Im not the fussy sort, even though my makeup was entirely ruined,it's fine by me. But the camera and my phone not functioning after?! DAMN! We went through the express queue, and we saw the people opposite us wearing ponchos and the people at the station should have at least advised us before getting on the ride, at least provide a ziplock bag for us to seal our goods knowing the consequences. Value for money, i don't really think so. Will i return to USS? Probably years down the road when there is more variety to the ride and with a good balance of thrill and simply good fun and excitement for both adult and children. Overall i am satisfied, just a little bummed, but memories have been created and that is something money cannot buy.

Okay so now it's back to being under my warm comforters, i've been under the weather:(

3 days ago, i walked home and came across my bf and his 2 other friends trying to get an injured bird out of the drain. When i saw the little one i instantly fell for it, i wanted to keep him home and get him better. Eventually we got him out, and that was day 1. I was warned to not get my hopes up, and the best i could do is give him warmth, food and water.My mother being a pet lover welcomed him with opened arms, got him a bigger box, variety of fruits in hope he'll be back to flying again. We got home today to Birbird gone:'( In 3 days i learnt more about him to fall in love with him, the white strands amongst the feathers of his head, and that he's a very noisy little fella, and how cute he looks when he blinks. Really sad. According to mak it's fate and i know it's for the better, but i can't help but wonder if i could have done more for him.

Personally i think it's all the above.

"let's take beauty out of the equation unless you talk about a beauty that exudes from a person, not just their physical appearance" however, an extra effort in looking presentable goes a long way.

I've read that woman tend to neglect their looks after too being comfortable with their man. I mean, i think every man want's to return to their woman feeling like a king,therefore the little extra effort you put into looking good for your man does count afterall, they do notice the difference even if men are infamous for not spotting the detail, even if it's just a dash of of perfume or to have your hair set in place nicely it really does count. You can agree to disagree but it's proven that the extra effort adds as a booster to self confidence.

Simple as it sounds, let's face it, we live in a world filled with pretentious people, hypocrisy is an addiction and so few choose to remain true. Take time to appreciate the good in yourself-strengthen it, and see good in your partner instead of waiting to find their every flaw and use it against them.

Practice humility, be there when he's down, treat him nice and show him that you love him. Personally i do not want to be a good woman, i want to be a great woman, not just for my man, but for the people close to me as well. Lighten up and don't be so uptight all the time. Get your man to understand your needs and want's, having heart to heart conversations proves to strengthen relationships.

Amongst the places we visited.

Boy was London gooood! Even the journey there was a good one for me, i was seated next to mum who shared her fine taste in music, we talked about various artistes ranging from David Bowie, Bonnie M, Leo Sawyer to Abba! And the foreign movies kept me entertained throughout.

Somehow i felt this strange sense of belonging,i could see myself actually settling down there. I had so much fun chatting up with fellow foreigners from shanghai, alabama and also the locals as well. 7 days was far too short and it went by in a jiffy! Shopping? An entire week would probably not be enough to cover the malls. Sightseeing is definitely spectacular. Guess what, we actually saw Prince William and Charles in their car after the guard changing ceremony! I mean how often can that happen? Most importantly i love how the family got to bond together, staying up watching reruns of friends on their local channels/ grabbing supper/ hot chocolate nights and just about any excuse to run to their supermarket which is loaded with good snacks! I would love to return again, this time to experience a truly enriching arts visit.

Al-Qaasimy's 19th

The sweetheart had his 19th birthday last week, it was a simple celebration, food, candles, the beach and at the spot we had our first memorable date, it wasn't perfect but it was still enjoyable, it was all i could come up with given the rush but what matters is the company. Well at least i got my gorgeous man to myself for the night and i got to celebrate the birth of the most special creation god has spent time creating, i couldn't wait to spend your every birthday with you for the rest of my life, for there is no other who could ever take your place. It started with 40 hopefuls, down to the final 8. The workshops came in 5 parts conducted by veterans from the entertainment industry and it came with 3 challenges. Every step of it was so fun filled and so useful and precise!

We walked away from the competition feeling like winneres, all of us, and im definitely glad to have met the people and the trainers and teachers to have made it possible, i couldn't further express my gratitude.

Hello hon, well my only advise is that you be patient, and no i dont spend time alone with my bf often in fact i only get half a saturday with him, but he makes up for lost time by sparing five to ten mins to see me nearby my place but of course its never enough. On your part, you have to understand he's working and he's not outside doing the things you don't like, life is too short, don't fight unneccessarily when you could be enjoying each other's company, hope this helps dear

i loveeeeee photobooth!! it really does kill time and boredom. okay so today i have finally been able to apply fake lashes on my own successfully. pictures above as evidence! i was using falsies in the previous post except for in the first and last photo, but that was with my friends help.

my saturday was amazing. i spent time with the lover after watching his game. it was filled with laughter and smiles throughout. we reminisced the times we've had, from first dates to first meet up, discussed our regrets, to future plans. you know i feel so blessed i really can't thank god enough for granting me an angel. i really love my life even though i have my lows. my family loves me unconditionally and my boyfriend dotes on me i feel so grateful. things don't have to be grand for you to feel whole, its the little perks in life that you should feel thankful for. i feel thankful when my day with my boyfriend is filled with laughter, and when my boyfriend comes all the way to see me because he missed me even after such a long day or when he reminds me how much he loves me ,or when my mum cooks for me or when my dad comes home from a tiring day and still has time to ask "hows your day" and when my brothers are safe at home, and when my friends are happy. this is why my life is beautiful. When you start appreciating the little things in life, that is when you will have a different view in life. I hope this message brings well to all of you. Goodnight darlings

Also, i have great news to share, the bf is embarking on his dream, so glad he's on track and so proud of him cos as of yest he has signed his contract for soccer. Of course it's his hard work, discipline, his drive for wanting to go further and gods help has brought him to where he is. Brilliant!

Whatever blues 2010 has brought, leave it behind! And keep moving forward. 2011 is filled with opportunities so grab whatever you can, seize it, own it! There should be no stopping you!

Malacca was good, the last time i went there was when im much younger, and the next time would probably be years down the road.Shopping wasn't as good, i only got a top, and we got bored of fast food and wanted something more filling, like seafood/nasi padang, but it isn't really the same. But the historical sights were fascinating, we even went to the Portuguese settlement to visit dad's best friend. And the final day was spent in jb, to visit mums bestfriend who had a bbq over at hers. No pictures of that though.

Met belle while working for an event at simlim something like an IT show, it was really easy to get along with her!
